About

Nice to meet you! <3

hiiiiiii :3 I’m Jaz , a college student studying Computer Science and Math at Tennessee State University. When I’m not coding, I'm probably skateboarding, making art, gaming, or eating sushi because its my absolute most favoritest food in the entire worlddddddd!

Why I Created Jazmirafy

As a Black girl in skateboarding, I’ve noticed that a lot of skate gear leans more baggy and masculine. And while that’s cool, I wanted something different that fits my style: fun, colorful, cutesy, and feminine.

So I decided to create it!! <33

Jazmirafy is my way of blending skate culture with fun, feminine designs that celebrate Black girls. My goal is to create skate gear that feels empowering, stylish, and inclusive. Because everyone deserves to feel seen in the spaces they love, and for Black girls in skating, that representation is long overdue.

More Than Just a Brand

Beyond just making cutesy gear, I’m dedicated to giving back to the skate community.

Here’s a little of what I’ve been up to:
Founded the First Skateboarding Club at Tennessee State University (a historically Black college/university) giving students a space to connect, learn, and grow through skating.
Ambassador for the Little Free Skate Shop in Nashville helping distribute free skate gear to those who need it. This makes sure cost isn’t a barrier for students who want to get into skateboarding.
Hosting Board Build Workshops & Skate Lessons with the Little Free Skate Shop and TSU Skateboarding club, teaching kids how to build and ride their own boards to grow the next generation of skaters.

Skateboarding has been a powerful creative and mental health outlet for me, and I want to make sure others (especially those from underrepresented backgrounds) feel encouraged to try it too.

I believe that being yourself is the coolest thing you can be. So, whether you're a skater, a creative, or just someone who loves cool designs, you are welcome here. <3

Thanks for being part of the Jazmirafy journey. Now go out there and keep being unapologetically you. Dare to be different!
